My plan is to improve El Dorado County’s roads, and work with stakeholders to improve and update the current plan. We can do better in preparing for growth in our county. This county must be strategic rather than reactive in planning transportation needs for our citizens.
When the Paradise fire happened in Nov 2018. I realized that not only my family was at risk, but so were my neighbors and community. This was a wake-up call for me as a board member for the Cameron Park Community Services District. I serve on the Fire and Emergency Service. It is important that I show leadership to help strategize and influence decision-making regarding funding and strategy on how to prepare our communities for the best outcome in safety, fire mitigation and emergency planning.
As a Board member of the Cameron Park Community Services District, I have attempted to gain the total number of households for Cameron Park, who have signed up for Code Red.
The county's Chief Administrative Office-EMS & Emergency Preparedness budgets 1.6 million tax dollars (proposed budget 2019-20). As a member of the Fire and Emergency Services Committee, the breakdown of how funds are spent is not shared with unincorporated agencies. This is unacceptable. It is our safety and our money.
We need this information to plan emergency services in our own communities. County leadership needs to be transparent for the public good. Hiding under the guise of confidential data when the program can be more inclusive is a better way to approach possible deficiencies. If elected I will make sure that all citizens will be engaged and signed up for this valuable safety feature.
I live with my husband Ron, young son, Ramsay, two dogs and a cat in Cameron Park. In 2018, I was elected to the Cameron Park Community Services District Board of Directors. I serve on the Fire and Emergency Services , and the CC&R Committee.

I am proud that my husband Ron is descended from families who arrived on the Western Slope prior to the Gold Rush. One ancestor owned a store in Coloma, and Ron’s grandmother was born on the banks of Weber Creek.
Our son Ramsay is a first grader at the Valley View Charter Montessori School in El Dorado Hills.
I was raised in Princeton, New Jersey and have family in New Zealand and England. I have a Master’s degree in Regional Development from UCLA and a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.
My travels have taken me around the globe to Asia, Africa, New Zealand, just to name a few. I move and settled in California in 1993.
I’ve served as president and in other capacities for non-profits such as, Sierra Moms and other professional organizations including the Association of Government Accountants, Chamber of Commerce, and the Institute of Internal Auditors. I have been a Certified Internal Auditor since 2007.
Boardman ship is no stranger to me. I have served on many boards at the national and local level. I was raised by parents, who believe that community service is an important value for a healthy society.
